SciFi and Fantasy Art Frogwings by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

After digging through the random old sketches in my sketchbooks, looking for new ideas, I came up with this.... Any suggestions for a better title? =) Or a story for what it's about? I certainly don't know. All I know is that winged little amphibians have been pestering me in my head until I drew them.

29 Jul 2008	Anon.	Loading... He is A knight whose quest has taken him to a far land where he meets the caretaker of the Cheeps (small, frog/bat like animals,very gentle.), a sort of fairy shepherdess, if you will, who might just help him on his way, if he asks nicely enough....
6 Aug 2008	Anon.	Loading... They are gardians of the nesting spot of some sacred winged creature and a flight of Frolics happened by , with which the maid amuses herself while waiting for the egg to hatch.

My boyfriend actually was writing a short adventure story about a young hero whose travelling companion was a creature known as a frogsprite-- basically a talking frog with wings!! Your picture reminded me of his story, and made me imagine the scene in which the brave adventurer is presented with his frogsprite by a beautiful enchantress before embarking on his quest!
12 Oct 2008	Woodbayne	Loading... hi, i have no poem for my idea, so i’ll just tell you it, he princess had fallen in love with a princess that was a frog and to turn him back into a prince she must kiss him or so thats what she thinks but to simply love him as he is is enough to break the spell so he’s turned back into a faery but she doesn’t know that and is kissing all the frogs to find her love.

15 Feb 2009	Lyn Russo	Loading... The frog needs to go away! You could incorporate eggs in heaven, egg god, etc...Those were my thoughts looking at your creation. I’m very impressed. How in the world do you get all your colors exactly lightened in those sectors? You have a lot of talent! Stephanie Pui-Mun Law replies: "I treat them like I do any edge, and just paint darker on one side than the other."

Loading... this reminds me of kissing the frog for a prince. maybe she used to frogs to bring him to her, or maybe it was a dream. the eggs kind of remind me about fertility, or something. for a title, maybe ’beckoning’? both people seem to be longing for something, and he seems to be trying to reach her.
