Thomas the Rhymer and Queen of Elfland beneath the Eildon Tree - sacred hawthorne for the fairies.

He wandered the hills of Ercildoun one evening, when he was come upon by the Queen of Elfland. He kissed her, and the price of that kiss was to be borne away with her from Middle Earth and the mortal realms. For seven years, he stayed in Elfland before being returned to the world, gifted thenceforth with Truth.

Lovely works Steph... I regularly read your blog and you only finished the sketch for this fab piece two days ago, your so amazingly quick.. Look if I leave a finished drawing out over night, maybe you could turn your self into a flying foxsprite, so when I come down in the morning I find it`s been beautifully painted...a bit like the fair tale of the old cobbler ...ha! 1
